WHEN
THE LIGHTS GO OUT WILL
YOU BE READY?
Battery backed up exit
lights identify the
location of the means of
egress during power out
emergencies. Emergency
lighting is installed in
hallways, stairwells and
other strategic
locations to provide
sufficient light to exit
a facility during a
power outage. If your
emergency lights fail
you and your employees
may be left in the dark.
Periodic maintenance of
such devices is often
overlooked until an
emergency occurs. The
Life Safety Code,
NFPA 101 chapter 31,
section 1.3.7 requires on going
maintenance to insure
proper operation.
